My name is Yana, I am 24. A year ago my husband Andriy, my dog ββand I moved to Kharkiv. Andriy fully provided for our family, working in the field of selling goods for active recreation. I quit my job as a marketer because I dreamed of becoming an artist and began to study.
Like all Kharkiv residents, we woke up at 5 am on February 24 from loud explosions because the war started in our country. This day took away our home and most things. To stay in the city for a while, we slept in the hallway and locked the windows, and during the loud explosions we went down to the Kharkiv metro. A day after the start of hostilities, we managed to pick up friends and leave Kharkiv.
Andriy brought us to his parents' and joined the ranks of the territorial defense. I don't know when the war will end and we will go home. I also don't know if our house is intact.
