My life and the life of my family changed, as did millions of other Ukrainian lives on February 24, from a call from my mother in Kyiv, and in two words: "We are being shot at…" At that time, my family and I were on a short trip - we wanted to surprise our son, to show the legendary stadium "Camp Nou" in Barcelona - it was at that time the dream of our little football player. We never got to the stadium and haven't returned home yet. We started looking for shelter and work in Europe. We are currently in Prague. And it is the new canvases and paints that are helping me to distract myself now from terrible thoughts about my hometown and friends, and to help send some of the funds to the Return Alive Foundation to help the armed forces of Ukraine. Art gives me faith that the war will end and we will rebuild and make our cities and homes even better. "
