My name is Roxoliana, but everyone calls me Liana. I’m an artist based in Lviv, Ukraine. Since I was a child art, has been my source of life. All I want is to create, to express myself as an artist, to discover this world, to contribute to the culture of the world and the culture of my country.
The main inspiration and impulse to create works was photography. It later became fashion photography. It happened unplanned, in the process. It became interesting for me to work with photography, to experiment.
Works are made in digital format. At first I did it by my hands using acrylic, graphic materials on printed photo, later I was drawn to work in digital format. I still continue this idea, I develop it. I also draw with pencils and oil pastels as you can see in my portfolio. I’m looking for more and more ways to interpret this experiment, find new solutions, new views, new aesthetics, new techniques. In short, I explore, looking for new ways of inspiration and interest. I wonder where this experiment can «go», how far and what it transforms into.
My works are a reflection of me, my preferences, my emotions, thoughts. My reaction. It’s an emotional outburst. It’s about how boldly I can express myself through art, the desire to become completely free. For me it is a way to get Freedom.
And this Freedom is not about myself and art, now it’s about my country too.
