I lived in Chernihiv. It's a cozy and beautiful city. When the war started, we refused to believe it will last for a long time, so we stayed there for as long as we could. Every minute could become the last one. The sound of the plane was the scariest because there is almost no chance to survive the bombing. We had one chance to leave the city. It was a hard decision. Our parents live in a small town near Chernihiv which is now occupied by Russian invaders. They are completely isolated and have almost no connection with the rest of the country. Hopefully, at least we now can make a call to check if they are ok.
