What I once read in books about World War II, about suffering and thousands of deaths, what I studied at school and quietly cried about when my grandmother talked about the war years, has become a horrible reality for me now. Waking up to the sound of sirens at night, sitting in the shelter for hours and seeming happy, but at the same time so painful to walk in the warm sun in moments of silence - this is my present. As I fall asleep, I mentally say goodbye to my family, because I don't know if I will wake up in the morning...
