Before the war, I lived in Kyiv with my parents, studied in my fourth year of university, and worked at my favorite job. And so I had to go to work one morning, my alarm clock was set at 8 am, but my mother woke me up at about 6 am with the words that the war had begun. I was sleepy, didn't understand what was happening, sat on my bed thinking what damn war, because we live in the 21st century, defend the rights of all people, drown in tolerance and that was when I heard the first explosion. It's hard to put into words, the feeling of that terrible siren. It was on this day that hellish inner fear began. And even now, when I'm in another country and safe, I'm still scared, primarily for my parents who decided to stay in Kyiv. Every morning I write to them and my main fear is that they will not write me back. I want peace in my country so much 😭💙💛
