When the war began, my family and I were in Kherson. The city was occupied from the first days of the war. My husband and I spent a month living under the occupation. On the 1st of April, we decided to leave Kherson, going through Crimea to Georgia. It was the hardest decision in our lives. My parents left their home on the 15th of April, and they were forced to travel through the front line in their car, passing through a lot of Russian checkpoints and minefields. My husband's parents are still in occupied Kherson. My granny and my uncle are also staying there. We are trying to help them as much as we can.
