I am Vira Yakymchuk, a Ukrainian contemporary painter. First of all, I am a self-taught painter, I developed my original style based on the color of nature and real life.
But the war in Ukraine changed everything. You are just beginning to live today. It is very difficult to believe what is happening in my country. We will not be the same now. We have changed. We wanted to be free, and now we will... we will do it now. And it's like working very emotionally for an artist during the war. But we try to be strong and speak through art. I pour my thoughts and emotions on the canvas, they will become an image, this is me and my feelings... as well as reality, this is the war that is happening in Ukraine. And art that has changed with us.
