The day before the war, I went for an interview. February 24 was supposed to be my first working day, but it didn't work out. At first we lived at my grandmother's house. It was quite difficult for 16 people to live in one house. Morally, we were barely hanging on and eventually everyone split up, Dad went to the Armed Forces, the other adults went back to work.
I decided that something had to be done and agreed to the offer to go with a friend to Spain to help Ukraine from there. But being so far from home and family at such a time turned out to be even more difficult. We could not stand it and returned to our homeland.
Even abroad, I really wanted to buy an embroidered shirt. I started looking and realized that there is not much that is unique and interesting. And then I had the idea to create my own brand.
I didn't wait long, from the first day at home I started looking for a team, interesting ideas and studying the history of Vyshyvanka and our culture.
This is how a new Ukrainian brand of modern embroidery "Serdenko" appeared.
